Our Stories in Vivid Color

We're amplifying the lived experiences and the dreams of youth and seniors across our neighborhood by creating pathways to spark conversations and transform perspectives. Odindi Youth Action Village, a local nonprofit, is using storytelling to reject norms and practices that make people "feel less than they are".

In their place, we're lifting up and amplifying the life stories and experiences of perseverance, resilience and the capacity we have to make our neighborhood better together.

Sometimes the most effective solutions are simple and deep, rather than complicated and shallow. We can't always choose the stories we have in our lives. But, if we take a risk, even in our vulnerability, to make our stories known — then that's where the best stories lie.
